Video - My Spacesuit Decided to preserve my spacesuit into a glasscase for future generations to come . Some facts 1. Every Spacesuit is tailored for each astronaut 2.It weighs 9.5 kg 3. Russian Spacesuit called ‘ Sokol KV-2 which means Falcon was developed in 1971 after the loss of 3 Cosmonauts crew on a Soyuz 11 . 4. It’s connected to the spacecrafts life support system once you are inside providing Oxygen and CO2 removal if the cabin depressurises. 5. It’s worn during launch , docking & landing 6. It protects you from depressurisation and extreme temperatures 7. The suit is made from rubberised internal bladder and a rigid external coat which provides airtight seal 8. There’s a V shaped zipper infront . To wear them you need to put in legs first , followed by the arms into the sleeves and head into the helmet . 9. We have been trained to be able to wear the spacesuit within a minute or two in case of Emergency. 10. We take off our Spacesuit once astronauts are onboard the International Space Station .
